Makin' Murals Workshop with Artsy Elaine

A hands-on how-to mural workshop with experienced muralist Artsy Elaine. You will get 4 hours of instruction on painting and transferring designs BIG onto walls. We will be practicing the 4 most common transfer techniques by painting Elaine’s pre-made designs on large canvases and contribute to a mural on the wall of the Avondale Arts Center. Students will not take home a finished mural, but will gain hands-on experience transferring designs and painting. Instructor will share information about how to install murals, as well as answer any questions during the event. Students will also receive a detailed PDF guide with all Elaine’s recommendations and learnings for mural best practices.

*Must be 18 years or older to attend. A liability waiver will be required to sign when you arrive at the event. Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. You are welcome to bring drinks or snacks.
