A mala is a string of beads used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra. For Buddhist practitioners, this ritual object is revered as precious, becoming more powerful and meaningful the more it is used.
Using beads of a wide variety of colors and materials, full length malas traditionally have 108 beads. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to make a mala of your choice to use as your personal mala ot give as a gift to friends or family.
The workshop will included a choice of traditional wooden beads, along with precious beads to add to your mala if you wish.
$40 non-members | $15 members (materials fee)
Includes refreshments.
