About this Event
Join us at the Visitor Center for a family-friendly program to make your own ice cream in a bag! You'll learn a little bit about the science of ice cream making, the importance of salt in nature, and salt in the Bay!
All ice cream ingredients provided, but feel free to bring your own toppings for your soon-to-be-made delicious vanilla ice cream! Registration is required so we can ensure we have enough supplies for everyone! We also recommend bringing a towel. This program is suitable for all ages, and anyone under the age of 16 should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
This program is led by USFWS volunteers with support from the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society, the nonprofit Friends group to the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuges. Special thanks to Cargill, Inc. for donating salt!
