Be inspired to recycle in a different way by reusing packaging to create decorative and useful items. Turn your . Your old cardboard boxes could become a picture frame, trinket boxes or piece of wall art by the end of this workshop.
This workshop is for adults of all abilities. It is an opportunity to have a go at a creative skill that you may not have done before.
All materials, tea and coffee and a warm space are provided.
Make Space at Platt Hall is a series of creative skills share workshops for adults led by makers from Rusholme, Fallowfield, Longsight and Moss Side. It is an opportunity to meet others and learn or develop a creative skill in the inspiring building of Platt Hall.
They come from the idea of everyday creativity - that there are skills and talents in the local area that can be taught and learnt from each other.
Much of the collection at Platt Hall are everyday creative things that were collected and given to the Hall in the 1920s by Mary Greg:
"I am glad indeed to hear so many people have seen the collection. How glad I should be if we could know if any of them ever make a single thing as a result that will be a delight to themselves, their children or those who come after. We must leave the answer to the future!"
