Make Music Muskogee will host a sidewalk parade on the north side of Broadway starting from Main Street and going to at least Arvest Bank, then cross Broadway and return down the south sidewalk—we might add an additional block on each side.
Free percussion instruments will be given to use, and participants can also bring their own instruments—guitars, ukuleles, other stringed instruments, even brass and woodwind instruments, and voices—and we will sing/play some holiday songs as we walk (4-5 standards to be announced). The sidewalk parade will end at Maxine’s Gastropub/Max’s Garage for hot chocolate and sweet treats.
If you can’t make the sidewalk parade and/or if you want to also want to ride a train, come to Muskogee’s Depot Green at 7:00 pm, and more free musical instruments will be available. You can ride the Depot Green train for $2.00 and play your instrument for the Make Music Winter Depot Green Train Parade! Train hours are 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
