Make Music is our brand-new hands-on and playful exhibition opening soon! Explore the science and technology behind sound and music - find out how sound works, why it moves us, and what makes it so special.
Experiment with different ways to make sound, discover unusual instruments and make some noise
To celebrate the opening, MOTAT Great North Road will be jam-packed with buskers, performers, music workshops and other music-themed activities.
Catch performances from a wide variety of local musicians including Kent Mori, Damian Hauwai, Kim Tait and Steve Cournane (The Verlaines) and walking band Guggemusik - even the beautiful Tram 44 will host musicians.
If you are an aspiring musician, bring along your instrument and sign up to perform at the Blackboard Concert.
