Make Music Day - San José
About this Event
The City of San José is celebrating Make Music Day with an unforgettable citywide showcase of sound, creativity, and community. In honor of SJ26—the year of art and play—the city will transform into a musical playground, hosting vibrant hubs for World Cup visitors and locals alike. Experience electrifying Fandangos featuring South American rhythms with the San Jose Creative Ambassador collective, Los Panaderos, at the Parque de Los Pobladores, with an opening act by globally recognized Recycle Orchestra of Cateura from Paraguay. At St. James Park, Levitt Pavilion San Jose will present a dynamic lineup of international musicians, filling the stage with global energy. Explore Paseo de San Antonio, where eclectic buskers set the streets alive. Discover the cutting edge of sound and light at the Sonic Runway, an interactive public art project by ColumnSJ. Music will surprise you throughout San Jose—from Harmony Werks’ pop-up choirs on transit to unexpected performances in markets like Arteaga’s, where melodies mingle with groceries. Venture beyond downtown to experience a Room Full of Pianos at Silicon Valley Piano, hip hop vibes in Writers Bench Alley, and a special Father’s Day concert by the San Jose Symphonic Choir at the Stone Church of Willow Glen. Join us and make music together—everywhere, for everyone, all day long. Make Music Day is an annual celebration of music on June 21st in over 2000 cities around the world. Make Music San José is a program of the City of San José Office of Economic Development and Cultural Affairs. Listen and Win! Attend 3 or more Make Music Day Concerts, take a selfie and send it to the Make Music San Jose team for a chance to win a prize.
