Join artist and Make Space collective member Amanda Donohue to learn how to upcycle your fabric scraps to create a cute little drawstring bag to hold your precious items, sewing stuff, travelling essentials and more.
This workshop is part of the Sydney Craft Week 2025.
Amanda will talk you through composition, a range of stitches including Japanese Boro stitching, different materials and threads, all in a relaxed setting. Discover the therapeutic joy of working with needle , thread and textiles. By the end of the workshop you will have learnt valuable skills and created your own beautiful unique bag.
All materials and tools provided to create a beautiful drawstring bag (finished size approximately 14x17cm), plus light refreshments including a glass of bubbles.
This course is perfect for beginners. No experience is needed.
Bookings essential as places are limited. Minimum of 3 participants for the workshop to proceed. Aimed at anyone aged 18 years and above.
Price is $90 per person.
