Celebrate the summer solstice at Pittsburgh Glass Center. Soak up the warmth from the sun while enjoying refreshments on our new rooftop patio. Have your tarot cards read and make a spell jar/mojo bag with Arts & Crafts: Botanica & Occult Shop. Then experience a completely different kind of light and heat from our glass furnaces. Watch free glassblowing demonstrations, set intentions for the upcoming season, and burn them away with the help of our hot glass artists. And of course, make your own summer-inspired glass artworks. Choose from a sculpted glass mushroom in our hot shop; flameworked mini mushrooms in the flame shop; summer inspired fused glass suncatchers; or an engraved suncatcher in our cold shop. Ages 5+.
