Enjoy this free musical marathon featuring talented Filipino American performers throughout the afternoon and evening. Between musical acts, join the fun with our open mic karaoke sessions and help make the music come alive.
A fantastic lineup of live performers will be taking the stage all day as part of this citywide celebration of music. Multiple Filipino food trucks and vendors will also be available, so come enjoy delicious Filipino food while listening to great music with family and friends.
Below are the performers and musical acts:
🎶 Ube Band-esal (1:00 pm)
🎤 UBE BAND-esal is a newly formed alt/garage rock crew making their debut at Make Filipino Music Madison. They bring upbeat, playful punk energy and hooky, guitar-driven tunes that'll maybe get the crowd bobbing along.
🎶 UPAA-W Choir (2:00 pm)
🎤UPAA-W Choir is the official singing group of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Wisconsin.
🎶 Rowell Puedivan (3:00 pm)
🎤 Rowell is a singer-songwriter and serves as pastor of the Madison Community Seventh-day Adventist Church.
🎶The Philippine Center Strummers (4:00 pm)
🎤 The Philippine Center Strummers is the official ukulele group of the Philippine Cultural and Civic Center in Wisconsin. The band also includes percussionists and a bass player who add joie de vive to their repertoire.
🎶 Shaddai Solidum (5:00 pm)
🎤 A classically trained singer, Shaddai previously performed as Mimi in the University Opera's production of La Boheme, where she was praised for her "mastery of legato" and as "the best singer on the stage."
🎶 PAMANA Choir (5:30 pm)
🎤 Originally formed as the PAMANA Carolers in the early 2010s, the group is now debuting as a full-fledged choir with repertoire including Filipino pop, contemporary, and folk songs.
🎶 Pam Barrett (6:30 pm)
🎤 Pam is an award-winning Madison-based songwriter best known for fronting the Motor Primitives, the Sigourney Weavers and, most recently, BingBong. Her throaty vibrato brings emotional immediacy to her melodic — at times portentous, at times rocking — songs.
🎶 Bernard Quipot (7:30 pm)
🎤 Also known as Mr. B, Bernard is a Madison-based guitarist who plays covers on classic rock, folk, jazz, standard, country, contemporary Christian, current hits, and jazz fusion music.
