Our classes and workshops are the perfect “unique” alternative to a material gift or “stuff” for any occasion! On the last Monday of May we honor the men and women who have died while serving in the military. The pen you will make is the American Beauty Twist Pen. In this class you will learn how to deal with acrylic as a turned material as well as the tricks to a proper CA finish. Use these techniques to create high-end one of a kind pens that will stand as an exceptional gift or in your collection. Class fee includes pen hardware kit and acrylic/hybrid blank for the pen body. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases. Each student should carefully consider their health and reaction to products around them when signing up for this or any of the Rockler woodworking classes. Considering a 1-on-1 private Instruction?
