Make & Take: Create A Unique Wood Riser/Tray

Art and craft collide in this fun DIY wooden riser workshop. Elevate your craft into art using a variety of tools and techniques including stencils rub-on transfers & decoupage. Personalize your riser with patterns textures and colors of your choice using our in-store materials. Take home a beautiful unique decor riser to use in your own home or give as a gift.

Each participant will be provided with a wood table/shelf riser. The first step will be painting or staining a base coat on your project. Next you can personalize it by adding distressing additional paint colors or embellishments such as stenciling rub-on transfers or decoupage. All these techniques will be demonstrated during the class. Last we’ll apply a protective clear coat. This class is perfect for you if you enjoy creative crafting classes that produce an upscale functional piece for your home and if you have “unloved” items at home that you’d like to learn how to transform to meet your current decor style. You’ll leave class with not only a trending table riser - perfect for elevating tablescapes vignettes candles mementos use as a tray for a raised presentation of charcuterie desserts etc. and as a tool to add more interest to any display by varying heights layers and texture - you’ll also take home the skills necessary to update thrifted items or existing decor that need some TLC.

Feel free to BYOB/snack. We also have a cafe onsite that serves delicious coffee drinks sandwiches salads & desserts.

All materials needed to make craft are provided by Emilene's Designs and included in class fee. You must pre-register to attend.
