Make a wooden Feather, Pt Chev Community Centre, Saturday 27th June, 1pm-4pm
Nau mai, haere mai.
Join us for a creative and mindful workshop where you will transform thin off-cuts of timber into your own unique, sustainable wooden feather art piece to take home.
This is a lovely activity to do with friends, in celebration of Matariki 2026.
Participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!).
This is a chilled, creative session where you can play around with shapes, enjoy the process, and see how simple materials can be transformed. Your finished feather will look great hanging in your home or popping up in the garden, and you will head away with a unique piece you made yourself.
Please note that you need to arrive at this workshop for the beginning of class and the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.
The workshop will provide the following
* Health and Safety Briefing
* Personal attention where required
* Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements.
