Make a Spinning Waterwheel at the NY Energy Zone in Utica!

Kids ages 6-9 are invited to the NY Energy Zone in Utica for a special hands-on workshop with STEAM author and educator Kathy Ceceri! Find out how we can generate electricity with water power, then design and build your own spinning waterwheel using everyday materials !

This workshop starts at 2 pm on Sunday, June 30, and takes approximately one hour. Please arrive early so you have the maximum amount of time to build and test your waterwheel!

We highly recommend you arrive early and take a FREE tour of the John S. Dyson New York Energy Zone – it’s powerful fun for kids of all ages! Average tour time is 90 minutes.

The NY Energy Zone is located at 35 Utica Zoo Way in Utica, and open 7 days a week 10 am - 5 pm (except for certain holidays). There is no admission charge.
