Make a Retro-Style Bag COAST Swansea Council

No previous sewing experience is required. This workshop is designed to be welcoming and accessible to complete beginners as well as those with some sewing experience. Participants receive step-by-step guidance and support in learning how to use a sewing machine safely andconfidently. The focus is on enjoying the creative process, building confidence and learningpractical skills while creating unique handmade items from recycled denim.

The workshop encourages creativity, sustainability and personal wellbeing by providing awelcoming environment where participants can relax, learn and connect with others. Participants have the opportunity to build confidence, make new friendships and become part of a creative community. The sessions encourage social interaction between people from different backgrounds and cultures, helping to reduce isolation and strengthen community connections.Particularly suitable for over 50s, parents and carers during school hours, retired adults, refugees and asylumseekers, volunteers, college leavers, young adults and anyone interested in learning new practicalskills.
