A daeng-gi is a traditional Korean hair ornament worn at the end of braided hair. Traditionally used by children, both boys and girls, as well as unmarried women, the daeng-gi has been used in Korea for more than 2,000 years.
Inspired by the traditional daeng-gi, participants will create their own unique keyring using traditional Korean fabrics. You’ll decorate your daeng-gi with traditional Korean patterns and learn simple hand-sewing techniques while experiencing the beauty of Korean traditional craft.
Limited space; registration is required. To register, use the link below or contact your local library. Registration opens two weeks prior to program date, on October 29.
