Make a Cartonnage Jewelry Box

Learn the artisanal craft of cartonnage (the art of making boxes, books, picture frames and other useful items covered with decorative papers or fabrics). We will be constructing a Jewelry Box with dividers to learn the basics of covering and assembling the pre-cut cardboard elements and applying the decorative fabric. There will be discussion on how to personalize the box and design custom projects. All tools and materials will be provided (including the fabric) and no experience is necessary.

Additional Information

• If you want to bring in your own fabric you will need 1 yard total ( either 1 large piece or 2 half-yard pieces of different fabrics). This project requires a woven fabric (eg. quilting cotton) - no large prints or patterns.
