Make a Boffer Sword and Ditch Battle!

Explorers Creativity Club is proud to announce that the Spring semester of 2022 Live Action Role Playing Club is in full swing!

Our first class this semester will be a boffer sword making class. It's our time-tested edition started by our coach Nate and modified by our Man-at-Arms Sam!

This sword is light and weighted. It's a more advanced style than our standard boffer swords. Kids (and adults) will love the feel of this sword! But we're also going to make these as simple as possible so we have to play!

After we make the swords of course we will venture out to our big front lawn where our Coach Nate will explain basic sword fighting techniques and Sam will assist. We will have fun outdoor games and each guest will be able to choose a Non Player Character (NPC) to act out.

Other activities:

* Bible devotional with the theme of Joy.

* Advanced Narrative Roleplay. This is the Christian alternative to D&D that Nate invented. It's super fun and this year we are on a mission to find the Lost Lanterns of Lanofeh to save the people from monsters who are coming out of rifts in the earth that appeared after a strange mist enveloped the land of Lanofeh.

* If there is time we will have acting games and acting skits.

* Also, if parents want to find out more about membership, Mrs Beasley, our director, will meet with parents inside for an Open House and answer any questions.

* Snack and social time.

We have successfully run our LARPing program for three and a half years and this is going to be a great semester!

Here are some other things to keep in mind:

* For the homeschooler or online schooler.

* Can be a drop off situation if desired.

* Perfect for "differently abled" or special needs kids.

* Opportunity to truly make new friends.

* Wear costumes if desired.

* Bring a snack to share.

* Bring your own water bottle.

* If you don't want to make a sword but just observe, you can obtain a free ticket. Come to the parent meeting so you can ask any questions you might have.

We do have a friendly mini-Aussie dog and a very shy cat who are our mascots!

Want to get started right away in the club? Members have immediate access to our Player's Handbook and character creation process. It includes a fun, gamified web portal that will enable members to earn points even BEFORE we officially start the club! Students can start preparing and be ready to go once September 9 comes! Our site has helpful information on what to expect, about us, and will include future history lessons, Bible lessons, resources, etc.

This year we will be focusing on Renaissance History with our exciting storyline of finding the Lost Lanterns of Lanofeh!

We have options for individuals and families and you can choose to pay by month, semester, or year.

We also have an option of enrolling in the full program which includes the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month and intervening Saturdays OR the Saturday Only Club.

Both groups get to attend our special event: our Knighting/Awards Ceremony in May.

A Covid Release form and Liability release form required from parents/guardians. A photo release form is optional but very helpful to our efforts to get more team members! You will sign it at the event.
