As per our Hindu religion the Sun is the soul of this universe and our existence is because of the Sun. Uttarayan is the festival of Surya Bhagwan, the Sun God. As per our Hindu scriptures there is a lot of importance of worshipping the Sun by doing Surya Puja and giving donation of sesame seeds on Uttarayan day. It is believed that those who do Surya Puja and make donation of sesame seeds on Uttarayan day will benefit from strong will power, confidence and help in keeping away from skin and eye diseases.Since Last 2 years we have organised Surya Puja and offering of sesame seeds Ladoos in our Mandir on the occasion of Uttaraayan. We would like to offer this opportunity to our Haribhaktos this year as well to take part in this unique Puja and benefit from enlightening our lives by Seva of Surya Bhagwan.
Haribhaktos can become Yajaman for Surya Puja and donation of sesame seeds by giving Bhet Seva of £15.25. Please note that only ONE person per Yajaman will be able to sit for the Puja. Those wishing to become Yajaman please contact the Mandir Office or on Tel. No. (01582) 663414 to register your names and pay Bhet Seva of £15.25 by 13th January, 2024. Yajaman will be required to bring a large Kathrot (Large deep Thali), 100gms of Sesame seeds, flowers and sesame seeds, Ladoo/Chiki Prasad from home.
