Major Dudes (Bend’s premier Steely Dan tribute)

Major Dudes is Bend’s premier Steely Dan tribute, a group of seasoned local musicians united by a shared obsession: the immaculate grooves, razor‑sharp arrangements, and sly storytelling of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. With a deep respect for the Dan’s studio perfectionism — and a healthy dose of their wry spirit — Major Dudes brings these iconic songs to life with precision, warmth, and a sense of play.
Formed by players who cut their teeth across Bend’s jazz, rock, and jam scenes, the band leans into the challenge of Steely Dan’s catalog. Horn lines are tight, harmonies are dialed in, and every solo is delivered with the kind of intention that makes longtime fans grin. From the silky shuffle of “Peg” to the noir‑tinged cool of “Deacon Blues,” Major Dudes recreates the sound with fidelity while keeping the energy fresh and live.
Major Dudes offers an experience that’s both musically rich and irresistibly fun — a celebration of one of America’s most distinctive bands, delivered by musicians who truly get it.
