Amy Safford discusses her debut novel, Goode Vibrations of the Wresting Place, and explores themes of inclusion and belonging in Maine fiction. She will also discuss how her protagonist, Penelope, sees into the past through extrasensory dreams and visions of Malaga Island, once home to a diverse mixed race fishing community who lived and worked in peace before a forced eviction by the State of Maine in 1911-12.
