David Loret de Mola is a queer, nonbinary, first-generation Cuban-American with Major Depressive Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and Generalized Anxiety who has represented Sacramento in the National Poetry Slam as well as the Individual World Poetry Slam, likes long walks on the beach, and they have been very glad to coach and mentor poets near and far - helping Brandon C. Leake during his win on America’s Got Talent in 2020. They have founded numerous poetry organizations such as The Spoken Word Federation and All City Writers, written twelve chapbooks and one full-length collection of work, and have created three one-person shows discussing mental health and healing.
