Mahmoud Chouki Cigar Box ProjectMahmoud Mood Chouki is a Moroccan master guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator currently living and working in New Orleans. His art draws together music from around the globe.. In addition to training and performing with conservatories around the world, Chouki also teaches music at the Lyce Franais de la Nouvelle Orlans and is the music curator for the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA). Most recently, he composed the music score for the 2021 Sundance Award winning film, Ma Belle, Ma Beauty. Chouki was also awarded 2020s Best Emerging Artist by OffBeat Magazines annual Best of the Beat Awards. His New World Ensemble has been steadily gaining acclaim, earning him Gambit Weeklys 2022 Best World Music Artist Award at their annual Big Easy Awards.Tonight, Chouki presents his cigar box project, featuring:Mahmoud Chouki - cigarbox oud, cigarbox guitar Brett Gardner - cigarbox guitar Rurik Nunan - cigarbox violin Martin Masakowski - z3 bassGerald Watkins - trash kit drums Shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pmDoors at 7:00pm & 9:00pmRestuarant is Open 5pm - 10pm for dinner before or after your showtime:Advance Ticket Holders can now automatically make dinner table reservations for the Dining Room online via OpenTable.com !Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner by Emailing [email protected] after your tickets have been purchased online. Dinner Service without Advance Concert Tickets is first-come, first-served based on availability upon arrival. Full Bar is Open 5pm - Midnight for all, on show nights, with or without tickets. Kind Reminder: Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.

This event is 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. All teenage patrons must be ticketed like adults, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the jazz club. All patrons must be aged 13 or older. Sorry, no children under 13 are permitted. Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro has a STRICT No Cell Phones, No Cameras Policy at all times during all showtimes inside the music room. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. *Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs.
