About this Event

Mahjonng For Miracles is a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just a beginner, there’s a seat for you at the table.

General Guidelines

Games will be conducted in accordance with National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) Rules plus Tournament Rules.

All players will use the 2026 NMJL card and they must bring and display their official NMJL card during play.

Players must be courteous, respectful, and gracious. Bullying and intimidation will not be tolerated.

Tentative Schedule

Our schedule for the tournament is:

• 9:45 am – Player check-in
• 10:00 am – Welcome and tournament rules
• 10:15 am – First game begins—let’s play!
• 1:00 pm – Tournament concludes and prizes are awarded

Scoring

This is scored tournament with a cumulative point system tracked across multiple rounds of play. Players will rotate tables after each round, completing approximately five games during the three-hour tournament. Each player will receive an individual scorecard and will be responsible for tracking their points throughout the tournament.The point system for this tournament is as follows:

• Winning hand: 10 points
• Winning hand with no jokers: 20 points
• Wall game: 10 points for each player
• Concealed hand: 30 points
