Mahjong Game Night at Chug's Diner

Are you ready to test your luck? The Hungry Post's newest event format—game night is great for those looking for a fun evening involving a little competition with friends and family.

For our very first Mahjong edition, we're heading to a true Miami diner in Coconut Grove. If you're a Mahjong player, you'll want to join us at the outdoor terrace of Chug's on Thursday, April 30, starting at 6:30 PM (please make sure to arrive on time).

The team at Chug's has put together a delicious menu to pair with crafted Don Q Rum cocktails. Players will receive two drinks and passed Cuban bites as they play and assemble sets of tiles!

Joining us that evening are Miami-based Mahjong instructors Brooke Lam and Gabi Boros, who will personalize the entire experience by guiding guests and answering any questions. You can find them as @DoubleeastMahj , @mahjwithbrooke (Brooke) and @my_tile_society (Gabi).

For this event, we kindly ask that players bring their own set of NMJL 2026 cards. Tickets are sold individually and guests will be grouped into tables of four depending on everyone's Mahjong experience (this is for experienced players, not beginners), so please make sure to tell us your level at the time of purchase! However, if you already have a table of four set up, you can get four individual tickets and be guaranteed to sit together.
