About the White Flag Shelter
The White Flag Shelter is led by the United Way with an all volunteer team. This is the second season of providing warming stations for our unhoused neighbors when dangerously cold temperatures hit. The goal is to make sure no one is left outside in the cold. They make sure the unsheltered receive a warm meal and a warm night. Service providers connect the person in need with resources like food, coats, gloves, hats, etc. They also collect hot hands, and emergency warming blankets.
