Mahalia's Mile Launch Party

Join the Greater Chatham Initiative for a celebration of Mahalia's Mile, which is a new cultural district located along 79th St. from State St. to Cottage Grove Ave. The event will take place at Mahalia Jackson Court (1 E. 79th St.) from 10am-12pm. The event will include:

• Trolley rides up and down the corridor to tour new public artwork and to learn about upcoming projects
• Fresh produce and other items available for purchase through the Chatham Farmers Market (which will be taking place at the same time at Mahalia Jackson Court)
• Remarks from local leaders regarding Mahalia's Mile
• A chance to meet the artists that created the murals and other artwork on display along the corridor

This is a free event and all are welcome, so feel free to share this with your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, or anyone else who may wanted to join!
