Adding a bit of clarity...
Girls eleven years and under do not have to wear a traditional pageant dress. Dress is mothers choice and dress will not be judged. We ENCOURAGE Sunday's Best (NON PAGEANT) because this is what is allowed at the Little Miss Magnolia State Pageant.
When competing at preliminary you will complete in the age group that you would fall in on September 1st 2025. So if you will be 12 on or before September 1st, 2026 you would compete in a Junior Teen group.
Boys who turn 12 on or before September 1, 2026 can compete locally fir fun but cannot advance to state pageant.
