The unique Garden Route-based Carpe Musicam! Concert Orchestra and Choir will be bringing their Spring concert series, entitled “Magnificent Movie Music” to Sedgefield, George and Mossel Bay this October.

The 90-minute production will be an emotional ride through a dozen epic movie themes spanning 84 years of movie history, from the 1940 film “Strike Up the Band” to the theme from “Ladies in Lavender” of 2004, with popular local violinist and violin teacher, Marie-Jean Kotzé, performing the solo part with soul and skill.

There will be three performances:

Sunday October 4 at Sedgefield NGK Hall in Hoopoe Street at 15h30

Friday October 9 at Laerskool George-Suid at 19h00

Sunday October 11 at Mossel Bay Town Hall at 15h30

Tickets are priced at R180 for Adults and R60 for scholars, and are available via www.carpemusicam.co.za or take a chance at the door. Be aware that these popular concerts tend to sell out early, so be sure to book early.

Refreshments will be on sale for an hour prior to each concert.

So, take some time off, enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat with friends – or even strangers who may become new friends. Then sit back and enjoy top class entertainment brought to you by the Garden Route’s Best!
