Magnet Fishing for the Wildlife

We are teaming up to keep the waterbirds safe at Mather Lake using magnets to fish out abandoned fishing gear! Bring your magnet or use one of ours, kindly loaned by American River Lost and Found, to get the gear out of the pond while enjoying a morning on the river! Wear sunscreen, sun glasses, and a hat while we toss magnets from the fishing deck and popular casting areas on shore to retrieve abandoned fishing gear. Feel free to bring your kayak or paddle-board to grab gear from the water - as long as you have your life jacket on!
Meet us at the picnic tables- near the parking lot.
