Magical Story Telling (age 8+)

Will you co-conspire with a Phoenix and his healing tears. Or will you delve into the healing properties of herbs in the mountainous lands of witches. Though these are just the places that I've been… perhaps in your world, the witches reside elsewhere. Here at Conkers Magical Earth Acadamy, we believe in magic. And personally, I was that child sat in the back of every class drawing and writing stories in her school books. In every class, event or family gathering I sat reading or writing stories… At restaurants on pieces of napkins, on buses on the back of receipts. (If this sounds like your child, tell them I’ve got lots of paper!). Anywhere I could write them…, and it is from this perspective that I call upon my fellow storytellers to join me in the co-creation of our inner realms.

These sessions will be guided by story stones: a collection of prompts infused with portals to different realms that are always shifting, growing, and expanding. What will you bring to the table?

This workshop is an hour long and we will go on a journey to meet our characters. We will face and overcome challenges alongside them. As their story unfolds we will discover their dislikes, their likes, their passions, their fears, and in doing so learn something of ourselves and the many, many worlds.

This workshop is recommended for ages 8+. There will be opportunities to explore our stories as a group as we share our ideas, and as individuals as we delve into the midst of our stories and get to the bones of them. Whether you prefer to tell your stories through pictures or through words there is space for them here, and I so look forward to meeting your characters and journeying with you.
