Magic Strings Concert

Winners of the 2024 Beverly Hills National Auditions Magic Strings have earned a reputation as a distinctive dynamic and accomplished ensemble performing on traditional Eastern European instruments. 

Their unique sound features the domra a stringed instrument with a thin fretted neck and round body first documented in the late 15th century; the balalaika a three-stringed triangular instrument; and the bayan a type of accordion. 

Their diverse repertoire spans music from Ukraine Brazil and Eastern Europe as well as classical and original compositions.
