Calling Christmas orphans, merrymakers, Jinglers, Junglers and Scrooges!It's that time of year again to gather, feast and add a couple of notches to your the belt.
Whether you're an orphan, or just need an excuse to escape your bio family, this is the place for you. Like a family Christmas minus the drunk uncle.
And to continue the tradition, we will have our annual Bard Circle!
What is a bard circle you ask? We sit in a circle and (in the spirit of the bard) anyone can share a song, a story, a poem, a skit, a joke or anything goes! (Keep it PG as it's an all-ages event). There is no pressure to share anything, you can just be there to support (or heckle for you Grinches out there) ❤
NEW THIS YEAR!!!***Secret Santa***(optional)---Bring something old, new, borrowed, made, or re-gifted (wrapped or boxed so it's mysterious). We will play a Secret Santa game and everyone who brought a gift will bring a treasure home.
Flow of the evening (hippie time of course):
6-7: Arrive, get settled, mingles (I might have a silly little intro game planned in the unlikely event I am uber-prepared 😛)
7pm: Circle up for dinner and bless the food
8ish: Secret Santa
9ish Bard Circle
Into the late hours......Games? Dancing? Tomfoolery? Who knows? It's different every year. We tend to go late (sorry morning people)
*NOTE: This is a vegetarian potluck. Please bring something vegan or vegetarian to share (like the picture minus the ham!).
*Preferably no white sugar. Desserts sweetened with agave, maple syrup, stevia, bananas, organic cane sugar, etc are most welcome.
*Leave no Trace. Wash your dish and a couple extra! Kitchen fairies get Christmas Karma points.
Don't like cooking and would prefer to just pick up a convenient snack? Don't fret, you can volunteer for a kitchen fairy shift. Message me if you are interested in kitchen-fairying.
*One of our guests has a severe allergy to fish and seafood so please avoid bringing.
You can bring a +1 but please check in with me first. I love surprise guests (as long as they are respectful).
*Family friendly. If there are enough kids, we'll set up a play area.
