Join Maggie Cedarstrom as she unveils her latest artwork in the Aeronaut Brewing Company's Taproom! Maggie received her BFA in 2007 from the University of New Hampshire. When she moved to Boston in 2008, she took a job at a donut shop and began bartending at a much beloved Cambridge pub. After working in artisan bakeries for about 6 years, she decided not to go to pastry school and returned to UNH in 2013 to complete her MFA.
Artmaking for Maggie has always been about bearing witness. Working from life, the goal for her is to capture what is present in that moment. Her favorite thing to paint is people, but she loves painting organic forms and places. She also makes woodcuts and charcoal drawings.
