Come join us at our in-person event located at 75 Stutson St for the next in the Maestro Workshop Series! This event is perfect for beginner to intermediate musicians. Join multi instrumentalist, performer and educator, Nate Coffey for this must attend workshop! Nate will share insights from his 25 years of teaching and performing music. Topics will include how to chose the best instruction method for you, how to approach jamming with others and how to start a band! This workshop is perfect for anyone getting started in the world of music. Nate will guide you through the basics and help you kickstart your musical journey. Nate Coffey, Multi-Instrumentalist. Educator.
Nate got his start playing music with his father, Bill Coffey, in “BC Enterprise”. He has a 2 year degree from MCC and attended Berklee College of Music and Hunter College in NYC. Nate has been a Music Teacher for over 25 years at a number of local studios including Northfield Music, The House of Guitars and Victor Music. Nate also taught at Urban Choice Charter School for 5 years.
Writing and performing has always been his passion. Nate has played with several legendary local bands including “The Buddhahood”, “The Irthings”, “Funk You” and others. He has also released 4 solo records. He is a multi-instrumentalist and a first call musician, playing many different styles. Nate performed at Geva theater in the musical "The Famous Orpheus" playing 65 sold out shows with The Garth Fagan Dance Company. Nate also runs one of the longest standing, most successful open jam sessions in Rochester at Murph's Pub in Irondequoit.
