The birth of the Italian Madrigal; as told by the Diapente Renaissance Vocal Quintet.
About this Event

Before the 16th century madrigal became that genre we all know and love, it grew from simpler songs known as frottolas, ballatas & canzonettas.

The Diapente Quintet invites you to hear how the style evolved over the course of the 1500s, from early vocal works by Bartolomeo Tromboncino & Sebastiano Festa all the way to the famous heavy-hitters of the madrigal world, Philippe Verdelot & Jacques Arcadelt
