We are beyond excited to be invited by Garver Feed Mill to bring Destash—Milwaukee’s long-running art & supply seconds sale—to MADISON! Destash began in Milwaukee, WI as a small grass roots gathering of a few dozen makers looking to clear out our studios and sell off imperfect art and supplies. It became the Thank You! event for our patrons and over the past 11 years has grown into a community favorite. We are delighted to have the opportunity to create a sister event with Madison!!Destash is all about community—connecting with fellow makers and the people who love to support small, handmade businesses—while also offering discounts on slightly imperfect, experimental, or one-of-a-kind pieces or supplies that might not otherwise make it to market.
For makers, it's become a useful tool that helps improve studio function - clearing space, uncovering forgotten supplies, inspiring new ideas, putting old ideas to rest, AND reducing waste—all with the intention of sharing it with the wider community.
Patrons love it because they get to reap all the benefits of thoughtful, creative work at accessible prices—while directly supporting local makers and the spirit of reuse and community.
