Made to Create: An Immersive Arts Field Trip for Kids!

Through a guided warm-up, professional showcase, meaningful discussion, and collaborative group work, children are invited to experience creativity not simply as a skill, but as a joyful and essential part of being human.

At the heart of Made to Create is the understanding that developing creativity in childhood is closely connected to physical and emotional health. As children move, create, observe, and respond, they nurture not only their imagination but also their physical bodies and sense of connection to the world around them. In a culture where children are increasingly sedentary and overstimulated, intentional and embodied learning can help cultivate confidence, resilience, attentiveness, and joy! Made to Create offers a highly interactive and relational experience that brings every child’s creativity to life.

• Group Warm-Up & Movement Exploration: Students participate in a guided movement experience focused on coordination, rhythm, confidence, and, of course, fun!
• Professional Dance Showcase: Live professional dance performance featuring original choreography designed to spark imagination, curiosity, and thoughtful observation.
• Reflection Through Drawing & Writing: Following each dance, students respond to what they see, hear, and feel through guided drawing and writing prompts.
• Group Discussion: The Creator’s Toolbox: Students engage in an interactive discussion exploring concepts such as patterns, musicality, storytelling, and language.
• Small Group Creative Collaboration: In small groups led by facilitators, students work together to try these concepts themselves and practice problem-solving, collaboration, and creative risk-taking.
• Take-Home Workbook: Each child leaves with a Made to Create Workbook that includes prompts, activities, and family discussion questions to encourage continued creativity and embodied learning at home.
