This July, the Artists Gallery (TAG) presents MADE IN THE USA: Breath of Freedom, a national juried exhibition exploring varied interpretations of freedom and the American experience.
Juried by James Panozzo of Launch LA, the exhibition brings together artists from across the United States working in a wide range of styles and media, each offering a unique perspective on what Breath of Freedom means today.

Concurrently, TAG presents Golden State Jewels, a solo exhibition by Los Angeles artist Jackie Goldberg. Through luminous oil paintings of landscapes and objects, Goldberg celebrates the intimate beauty of California, reflecting on the history, nature, and everyday beauty of place - the enduring connection between landscape and belonging.
TAG Artists present Energy and Force a compelling group exhibition exploring the many interpretations of energy and force, examining the visible and invisible forces that shape our world. This show is presented in the upstairs Sky Gallery.

Golden State Jewels

gathers small paintings of landscapes and objects that quietly define the Golden State: mission walls warmed by afternoon sun, historic gardens, canyon roads, flowering trees, and fruit ripening in summer light. These are not grand landmarks but intimate moments—easily overlooked, yet deeply characteristic of California.

This is the California of memory—the California the artist longed to come home to: sun-warmed, generous, and luminous, where history, nature, and everyday beauty coexist.

Following The Wash, a series inspired by the Los Angeles River and its concrete channels, these paintings turn from movement and impermanence toward the organic and what endures. They linger over the details that give a place its identity: the curve of an adobe archway, the shade of a garden path, the glow of summer fruit, and the distinctive clarity of California light.

Painted in rich oils and luminous color, the works reflect a California that is both cultivated and wild, historic and contemporary. Together they form a portrait of a place shaped by history, light, and affection, capturing not only California itself, but the feeling of belonging to it.

Jackie Goldberg

Jackie Goldberg is an artist and designer from Los Angeles. She leads design for generative AI at Amazon. She studied painting and sculpture with Joe Blaustein at UCLA, as well as Andrew Forge, Richard Lytle, John Hull, and Natalie Charkow at Yale.

TAG Artists present Energy and Force a compelling group exhibition exploring the many interpretations of energy and force. Working across diverse media and artistic perspectives. TAG artists consider the physical, emotional, environmental, and symbolic forces that shape our lives, transforming universal concepts into a vibrant and thought-provoking visual experience.
