How do game developers make things look like they're alive through movement? To find out, we'll both learn and use animation techniques!
About this Event

For ages 8 to 13.

This class is a 1.5 hour lesson that teaches students the fundamentals of animation. Students will learn what animation is, where it is used, and how to follow basic principles of animation. Students will critique animations in games that will be provided and create a short animation of their own.

Students will learn how to

  • Identify what animation is and where it is used
  • Identify the 12 principles of animation
  • Critique a game’s animations using the 12 principles of animation
  • Animate a short clip using pencil and paper
