Day 1 (in-person) of a two day Creative Arts and Mental Health themed event, hosted by Queen Mary University of London.
About this Event

Mad Hearts explores productive, radical, contemporary encounters between the arts and mental health, bringing together clinical, artistic and research perspectives that offer a re-interpretation of contemporary mental health science and practice, with a view of imagining a different future.

The theme for this year's conference is Queering Boundaries. This year's theme, Queering Boundaries, is a prompt to reflect on how boundaries define identities and fields of enquiry within mental health. Boundaries as lines of division can inhibit creative re-imagining of identities and new horizons for knowledge and practice. Arts practices are often messy ground where boundaries become fuzzy and new meanings and possibilities are given space to emerge.

We welcome service users, mental health professionals, artists, researchers, and any members of the general public interested in the way the arts can contribute to mental health.

We are increasing accessibility to this event by utilising a sliding scale for ticket prices from free to £50. Please do pay it forward if you can to support the conference and our speakers. Limited ticket quantities are available at each price point. If you can afford to pay more, please do! If the price point you desire appears sold out or financial hardship still hinders your attendance, please email: [email protected]

Ticket price includes access to Day 1 of the Mad Hearts conference only (+ lunch!). To purchase tickets for Day 2 (online), please visit here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/mad-hearts-the-arts-mental-health-queering-boundaries-day-2-online-tickets-578964437217
