Macon + Bibb 2nd Annual Juneteenth Parade Celebrates Black Girl Magic
Macon, GA - The Macon Black Culture organization is delighted to announce the upcoming 2nd Annual Juneteenth Parade, which will be held on Sunday, June 16th at 3 p.m. in downtown Macon. This year's parade will be a vibrant celebration of Black Girl Magic, showcasing the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of black women and girls.
The 2nd Annual Juneteenth Parade promises to be a spectacular event, filled with music, dance, and a true sense of community. The parade will feature colorful floats, marching bands, dance troupes, and various community organizations coming together to honor and uplift the black women and girls who have played a significant role in shaping our history and culture.
We are thrilled to announce that this year's Grand Marshals will be none other than Zelma Redding and Karla Redding-Andrews, the wife and daughter of the late Otis Redding. Zelma and Karla have been tireless advocates for the preservation and celebration of black culture, and their presence as Grand Marshals will add an extra touch of significance to this year's parade.
Macon Black Culture invites organizations and businesses to join in the festivities by signing up to participate in the parade. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your support for the black community and engage with a diverse audience.
