Don’t let the name fool you. Mach One pushes the musical envelope far past the world of swing standards. They’re repertoire includes everything from Michael Jackson to James Brown, from Tina Turner to Stevie Wonder. Plus waltzes, cha-chas and just-the-right-tempo ballads. They bring something like 16 musicians, so let’s pack the Leif.

Pre-Dance Lesson: East Coast Swing with John Lozano. A dance derived from Lindy Hop in the 1940s, is itself a root dance of many other dances. John builds his classes like he builds his dances. He starts by building a well-connected triple-step foundation, shapes it with his creative creations, and highlights it with playfulness and fun music.
