Macallan Whisky Tasting

Join us at Death & Taxes on Sunday 24th May for an intimate tasting of The Macallan, exploring a curated lineup of exceptional expressions from one of Scotland’s most iconic

distilleries.Guided through each pour by The Macallan's QLD Ambassador, this experience moves from classic sherried richness into bold, rare, and limited releases, showcasing the artistry and legacy that have shaped The Macallan for more than two centuries.

Guests will be welcomed with a highball on arrival featuring The Macallan 12 Years Double Cask before settling in for a refined afternoon of whisky, flavour, and storytelling. Session runs from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, with limited seats available.

🥃 The Tasting Lineup – 5 x 15ml Pours

The Macallan 12 Years Sherry Oak - A classic Speyside whisky matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks. Rich and smooth, with notes of dried fruit, spice, and a warm, lingering sweetness.

The Macallan Classic Cut (2022 Edition)- A bold, higher-strength release showcasing intense flavours. Expect layers of sweet vanilla, citrus zest, and warming spice, with a long, powerful finish.

The Macallan “Litha” (Limited Release)- A rare and expressive bottling with a more experimental edge. Bright orchard fruits and honeyed sweetness meet gentle oak and soft spice, offering a fresh take on Macallan’s signature style.

The Macallan Rare Cask (2023 Release)- Crafted from some of the distillery’s rarest casks, this is deep, luxurious, and complex. Think dark chocolate, dried fruits, and rich oak with a velvety, full-bodied finish.

The Macallan Edition No.6 - Inspired by the natural landscape of Speyside, this release is vibrant and layered. Fresh fruits, spice, and oak come together with a balanced sweetness and elegant complexity.
