Mac McAnally is a songwriter’s songwriter—an artist whose influence runs quietly but deeply through American music. This spring, he brings his songs and stories to the Ludlow Garage, performing live on May 29.A record-setting ten-time CMA Musician of the Year, McAnally is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame, and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. He has written dozens of hit songs for artists including Alabama, Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, and Sawyer Brown, many of which reached #1 on the charts.
In addition to his work behind the scenes, McAnally has released 14 solo albums since his debut hit “It’s a Crazy World,” and his live shows reflect a lifetime spent shaping the sound of country and American roots music.
