The Autumn Equinox often called Mabon is a rich abundant time, when the fruits of our labour, if we grow some of our own food can be harvested, stored and turned into jams or pickles, wines or potions for the coming Winter season. We can also forage for nuts, berries and mushrooms, it's a time of plenty.
Before our drum journey we'll have a Communal Smudge Ceremony using healing herbs of sage , lavender, yarrow and rosemary, which we'll do outside. If wet we well smudge with Paulo Santo a gentle cleansing alternative.
Exploring the Lower Kingdom with one of the birds or animals associated with Autumn, such as squirrel, owl, hedgehog , bear, deer, wild geese etc. will deepen your personal connection to Earth, through a safe and deep Shamanic Experience.
Afterwards you'll be journalling, which can be done through art work, poetry or key phrases, then we'll have a tea break, and share our experiences.
We will go for a quiet , reflective walk on the lovely Hele Beach. You can look out for a special stone, rock, slate or driftwood to remind you of your journey and whatever creature you journeyed with, and, or, fill a bottle ( provided) with some sea water to make a spell or potions with later.
Afterwards we'll return to enjoy a nourishing feast of food made lovingly by Karen. It will include homemade soup and sourdough bread, home made kimchi,, Mabon themed salad , and a sumptuous cheese cake. Let us know any dietary requirements please .
After lunch, time to rest, relax, and reflect, as Karen morphs into our storyteller, and brings us a magical tale related to this time of year, which is in the process of being dreamed and crafted into being. Exciting!
Finally, a little bit of gentle movement, before Juney brings you a beautiful healing poem.
Group hug before we go our separate ways with our hearts full and special memories and messages to treasure.
Cost per person is £70 to be paid in advance
Installments are an option, just ask for details.
Mats, pillows and blankets are provided, unless you prefer to bring your own.
Also, please bring water and a notebook and pen.
Tea and coffee are provided
There is disabled access and toilet facilities.
