When images of the ice go viral on social media, tourists arrive at the farm gate clamoring to see the ice cave before it melts. As Ruth’s relationship with Silas deepens and dark secrets surrounding her husband’s death begin to surface, she must choose to take an unprecedented gamble and harness her life to a glacier whose future is just as uncertain as her own. Dr. M Jackson is a geographer, glaciologist, science communicator, National Geographic Society Explorer, TED Fellow, public speaker, and writer. She has worked for over a decade chronicling climate change and communities in the Arctic and Antarctic. Jackson is the author of The Secret Lives of Glaciers, While Glaciers Slept: Being Human in a Time of Climate Change, and The Ice Sings Back. She is currently the Climate and Energy host for Crash Course and starred as the science expert in the hit Netflix series, Pirate Gold of Adak Island.
