Step into a modern echo of LÚNASA, the ancient Celtic Fire Festival celebrating the bounty of summer's growth, at the midpoint between the Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox.
In this liminal time, as the summer's light begins to wane and shadows grow, we dance, sing, make music and mark the Earth to cultivate sustenance for community resilience.
Near the nexus of the Three Rivers, on ancient land now bearing the name of our most ancient of human practices, ARTS LANDING will host an immersive festival to honor those who resided here long before we arrived, to celebrate the people who share this place now, and to cultivate a space of belonging for generations to come.
LÚNASA, the third installment of the Celtic Fire Festival series, is brought to life in collaboration between The Irish Partnership of Pittsburgh & Anam Arts.
The festival will feature first harvest food and drink, vendors from across Pittsburgh, and live performances from hometown favorite Celtic/Appalachian bands. Participatory ritual art experiences for people of all ages, including a reimagining of the world renowned Planetary Dance, will be led by Conor and Garrett Coleman, Alyssa Jurewicz-Johns, and more.
