Laupäeval, 10. oktoobril tähistame Kumus maalikunstnik Kristi Kongi mastaapse isikunäituse „Kristi Kongi. Kromaatiline triiv“ lõpuprogrammi.
Suure saali näituse lõpuprogrammi kavas on:
Kell 12.00 Kristi Kongi kunstnikutuur näitusel, inglise keeles
Kell 13.00–15.00 Avatud töötuba „Värvivitamiin“, eesti ja inglise keeles
Kell 14.00 Kristi Kongi kunstnikutuur näitusel, eesti keeles
Kell 15.30 Vestlusring „Maali ruumid“. Osalevad Kristi Kongi, Tõnis Saadoja ja Anna Škodenko. Modereerib Anu Allas; eesti keeles
Kuidas on erinevad ajaloolised ruumid muutnud maalikunsti olemust?
Üritustel osalemine muuseumipiletiga. Eesti Kunstimuuseumi ja Kumu kunstimuuseumi aastakaartidega osalemine tasuta.
Üritused on osa näituse „Kristi Kongi. Kromaatiline triiv“ publikuprogrammist.
Maalikunstnik Kristi Kongi mastaapne isikunäitus „Kromaatiline triiv“ on Kumu kunstimuuseumi juubeliaasta üks tähtsündmusi. Näitus loob tervikliku taju- ja ruumikogemuse ning peegeldab kunstniku sisemisi rännakuid viimase paari aasta jooksul, mil värv on teeninud nii meeleseisundite kui ka mälestuste kaardistamise ja talletamise eesmärki. Teostel korduvad avauste ja (läbi)käikude motiivid, mis kõnelevad tundmuslikust astumisest kuhugi mujale, paralleelmaailma.
Näitus on Kumu kunstimuuseumi suures saalis avatud 11. oktoobrini 2026.

The painter Kristi Kongi’s large-scale solo exhibition "Kristi Kongi: Chromatic Drift" is one of the highlights of the Kumu Art Museum’s anniversary year. It is the first solo exhibition by an Estonian woman artist in Kumu’s great exhibition hall, featuring new works created specifically for this event. The exhibition evokes a holistic sensory and spatial experience centred on colour, a hallmark of Kristi Kongi’s oeuvre. Extending beyond the canvas, colours and motifs have spilled onto the floor, walls, windows and the outdoor space.
On Saturday, October 11, we are celebrating the finissage of Kumu’s Great Hall exhibition "Chromatic Drift" with the following closing events:
12:00 Artist’s Tour, Kristi Kongi, in English
13:00–15:00 Drop-In Workshop "Colour Vitamin", in English and Estonian
14:00 Artist’s Tour, Kristi Kongi, in Estonian
15:30 Panel Discussion "Spaces of Painting". In conversation with Kristi Kongi, Tõnis Saadoja and Anna Škodenko. Moderated by Anu Allas. In Estonian
Bringing together three artists whose work explores different facets of the relationship between painting and space, the discussion will consider space in its broadest sense: physical and conceptual space, as well as the spaces of making and exhibiting painting. How does painting construct and represent space? How have different historical contexts and spatial environments shaped the nature of painting?
Admission to events with a museum ticket. Free admission with an annual membership of Art Museum of Estonia and Kumu Art Museum.
The events are a part of the public programme of the exhibition "Kristi Kongi: Chromatic Drift".
The painter Kristi Kongi’s large-scale solo exhibition Chromatic Drift is one of the highlights of the Kumu Art Museum’s anniversary year. The exhibition evokes a holistic sensory and spatial experience centred on colour and reflects the artist’s inner journeys over the past few years, during which colour has served the purpose of mapping and preserving both states of mind and memories. The works feature recurring motifs of openings and passages, which reflect a sensory journey to a parallel world.
The exhibition is open in the Great Hall of Kumu Art Museum until 11 October 2026.
