LWHS Head, Heart, Hands EIB Conference Series

This year, we will launch the inaugural Head, Heart, Hands EIB Conference Series at Lick-Wilmerding High School, a multi-part exploration designed to deepen our shared understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as essential dimensions of learning, community, and leadership. We invite students, educators, families, and community partners from the Bay Area to join us in conversation, reflection, and skill-building through the lenses of identity, justice, and community care.

Over the past several years, our EIB work has evolved in response to the changing needs of our community and the wider world. We have created spaces to name inequity, amplify historically marginalized voices, and celebrate the multiplicity of experiences that shape who we are. The Head, Heart, Hands EIB Conference Series builds on this foundation by offering an intentional structure for ongoing learning—one that invites curiosity, courage, and connection.

As our mission calls us to develop the head, heart, and hands of learners, we are offering a series of events across the school year that engage different modes of thinking and learning. Our three guiding “tracks” are:

• Head: Conversations with thought leaders, authors, and activists, whose work inspires dialogue about identity, belonging, and community
• Heart: Film screenings and arts/wellness experiences
• Hands: Interactive workshops centering creativity, craft, practice, and activism
